Georgia State Senate Candidate Shawn Still Wants to ‘Eliminate Drop Boxes’ in Georgia

During an appearance on The John Fredericks Show, Georgia State Senate candidate Shawn Still reminded the audience that he filed a lawsuit in 2020 against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and stated very clearly how important election integrity is to him.

“I have been on the forefront on election integrity since all of this began, when we saw the election irregularities. When we saw that we knew the election results, that we knew the election had been stolen, I filed a lawsuit in State Superior Court in Fulton County against the Secretary of State,” said Still.

“The only other person who had the standing to file a lawsuit in state superior court, was a joint suit between Chairman David Shafer and President Donald Trump,” he continued. “I am very proud of the fact that I put my name on a lawsuit versus the Secretary of State. The drop boxes are unconstitutional. They have to go away.”

“So on day one in the state legislature, I will be fighting to eliminate drop boxes entirely. That is going to be the very first thing that I do,” said the State Senate candidate. “I have been at this fight since the very beginning and will continue to stay at the tip of that spear.”

Election integrity is an issue that Still has been pounding the drum on during his campaign. His website says, “It’s time to push back against Stacey Abrams and Democrats who want to change Georgia. As our new state senator, Shawn will fight Stacey Abrams and the Biden Administration’s plans to weaken election security in Georgia. Election integrity requires that we eliminate unprotected, nighttime absentee ballot drop boxes, as well as require proper identification be shown for all voters.”

Still also calls for the elimination of Georgia’s state income tax and states that he opposes Critical Race Theory and the “Defund the Police” movement.

Additionally, Still’s website says that he serves as “Chairman of the Georgia Republican Party Finance Committee, where he helped lead record-breaking fundraising results for the party in 2020. He also serves on the Executive Committee for the GAGOP and serves on the Board of Directors for the GAGOP Foundation. He is a member of the Fulton GOP Chairman’s Circle and has served as a precinct captain.”
